Reviews
Winemaking
Handpicked, chilled overnight then gently whole bunch pressed. The juice then settles in stainless steel tank overnight before transferred as relatively clear juice to used barrels for fermentation, inoculated with a neutral yeast strain to highlight the Pinot Noir aromatics and fruit profile. Six months in barrel before bottling.
Technical Data
Varietals: Pinot Noir
Region: Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia.
Vines: An individual Pinot Noir clone; 943. Typically, this clone produces loose bunches with small berries which were compounded by adverse weather during flowering and our fourth season of La Niña (cool and wet) weather pattern. The bunches were tiny and not ideal for table Pinot, the upside being that we got to make a Pinot Noir Rosé. Warramate vines are farmed without irrigation.
Cellaring: Don’t be silly, Rosé is meant to be enjoyed young and fresh!
Alcohol: 13.5%
