2023 Crécy Chardonnay
Medal One
Medal Two
The cooler 2023 season has produced Chardonnay with great minerality, a lot of lemon citrus zing and zest. The palate has great energy and interesting textural components including a pithy power increasing the palate weigh. A subtle oak presence provides some tannin and a subtle phenolic grip to make a complete and interesting wine. It has youth on its side and will flesh out with some bottle maturation.

Winemaking
Hand harvested, the bunches were chilled overnight and then whole bunch pressed for the finest quality juice. The juice is then sent directly to barrel for fermentation and then maturation, all French oak with 25% new barrels. Left on full yeast lees untouched for 10 months, these primary yeast lees build complexity before bottling.
