Award Winning Varietal (Other Reds & Blends) of the Year - 2025 Halliday Wine Companion
"A blend of 35/35/12/7/6/5% touriga naçional, tinta cão, tinta roriz , tinta amarela , alvarelhão, sousão, all sourced from '90 plantings. From its brilliant crimson purple colour to aromas of satsuma plums, wild berries and spice, there's a lot to love. Concentrated and flavoursome, yet balanced and very long with persistent and subtle tannins attesting to a wine that will age beautifully over a least the next 10 years." - 98 points, Philip Rich

Winemaking
The last fruit to be harvested from the vineyard. Hand picked and destemmed together some parcels in a ‘field blend’ style retaining as many whole berries as possible. The first working of the must is with the feet as in a traditional lagar in Portugal to extract tannins from both skins and seeds. Gentle pressing and maturation in old oak barrels for 10 months.
